We would like to welcome everyone back and hope you all have had a wonderful summer- welcome to the new academic year of Rainbow 2026-2027! We would also like to warmly welcome our new starters.
We are looking forward to making friends with and getting to know all the new children. Every Key Person is full of knowledge and ideas to keep your child engaged and curious as we help everyone settle and have a great start.
We have planned lots of play based on a farm theme and so we are calling this term “The Rainbow Farmyard”. We will be learning all about autumn and Harvest. Some of this involves catching eggs, mixing piglet pink colours, apple crumble sensory trays, pumpkin collages and milkshake making!
We are hoping to spend lots of time out and about, we will be going on some autumn walks and taking note of the beautiful season and everything we can see going on around us.
We will start our weekly Forest School sessions and Westgate House visits in the next few weeks and we plan on going to the library and borrowing some books too.
We have a visit booked with a local police officer who will be bringing the police car along too!
We have a Harvest Festival celebration planned in the coming weeks, along with lots of singing and stories for the children to enjoy, we also have some wonderful recipes for some special baking. If any of you have an allotment or any autumnal fruits and veg overflow please do let us know!
We would love for you to come to our Annual General Meeting (A.G.M) on 13th of October at 4:00pm. This is a great chance to find out what last year’s committee achieved and see if this is something you may be in interested in becoming a part of… we can even look after your children while you attend the meeting!
